Limits and help

Weekend limits and where help is

A weekend at Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino is easier to enjoy when the limit is settled at home, before the drive up Highway 40. In Alberta, free and confidential help is open 24 hours a day, by phone, text or chat.

Settle the limit at home

Before you leave Calgary, Cochrane or Canmore, decide two numbers for each evening: the money you will spend on the floor and the time you will stay. Treat the room, the pool and dinner at The Ridge as the plan for the weekend. The casino floor is one part of the evening, with a fixed end. When either number is reached, you leave the floor, even if the hour is early.

Members of Winner's Edge can set spend and time limits, with alerts, through the GameSense My Activity and Budgeting Tools. These are set at the Winner's Edge kiosk in any Alberta casino or in the member's online account. An alert that arrives mid-evening is your cue to stand up and walk back to the room.
